Dave has been collecting cards and memorabilia for almost 30 years. Even though he doesn't read the back of every card and memorize the player's stats like he used to, his passion for the hobby is as strong today as it was in the early '90s.

He likes to reminisce about how he would trade away good cards to other kids for their "shiny" inserts because they looked cooler. He feels like this has become the norm in the hobby; people always like the flashy cards and players, but Dave now likes to center his personal collection around older items.

Always the history buff, Dave gravitates towards pieces which tell a story. A few examples of his items are tobacco cards, dinosaur bones, founding father autographs, and Native American artifacts.

You will find Dave walking around card shows just talking to the other vendors and attendees alike. Building relationships is what will make you stay in this hobby for your entire life.
